Why should I pursue counseling?

As parents, your child's well-being is your top priority. However, there may be times when your child is struggling with emotional or behavioral issues that you may not fully understand or know how to address. Our team of trained and experienced counselors specializes in working with children and can provide a safe and supportive environment for your child to express their feelings and work through any challenges they may be facing. Through our counseling sessions, we aim to empower the child and caregivers with coping skills and strategies that will help them navigate through difficult situations and improve their overall mental health. By investing in your child's emotional well-being, you are setting them up for a happier and healthier future.

At what age should I consider taking my child to a counselor?

Early intervention can make a significant difference in your child's mental and emotional well-being. Our licensed professional counselors are specially trained to work with children of all ages and can provide the support and guidance needed for your child's overall development and growth. It's never too early to prioritize your child's mental health and well-being.

What type of therapy is best for children?

We offer a variety of therapy options for children, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, parent management training, and coaching. Our highly trained therapists will work with you and your child to determine the best approach based on their unique needs and challenges. Whether your child is struggling with anxiety, behavioral issues, or trauma, our therapies are designed to help them express themselves and develop coping skills in a safe and supportive environment.

What types of insurance do you accept?

In a concerted effort to make our services as accessible as possible, we accept most major insurance plans, including Independence Blue Cross, Aetna, AmeriHealth, Highmark and more. We also offer flexible payment options for those without insurance coverage. Our goal is to provide quality counseling services for children and families without any added financial stress. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions about insurance or payment options - we are here to support you and your child in every way possible.

How do I know if my child or adolescent needs therapy?

It can be difficult as a parent to determine if your child needs therapy, but there are some common signs. If your child is experiencing persistent and intense emotions such as anger, sadness or fear, struggles with behavior or relationships, has difficulty coping with daily activities, or shows a change in their usual behavior or mood, these could be indicators that they may benefit from counseling. Additionally, if you notice a significant decline in their academic performance or withdrawal from activities they used to enjoy, it may be time to seek professional help.
